An absolute hidden gem; wonderful & interesting Indian food at ridiculously reasonable prices. La Chai recently catered and delivered a dinner party for us - guests were blown away. Huge sharing platter to start; the most delicious curries, daal, rice, raita and parathas for main and a saffron and nut kheer to finish. Food always has a slight ‘twist’ (amazing avocado, dill and pomegranate raita for instance) and is beautifully presented. Highly recommend!
A refreshing addition to this stretch of Garratt Lane’s lack of nice cafes. This is a place where you will want to dwell. It’s cosy yet modern, with genuine owners who put great pride and care into each customer. For a coffee with a twist, light bite, or lunch, La Chai is where it’s at!
I picked up some frozen meals from the restaurant this week. I must say i was absolutely astounded as to how good the dishes were. I think freezing curries actually enhances the flavour and all dishes were incredible with the lamb chops being the standout if i had to pick one.
Beautifully presented food and tastes as good as it looks. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Interesting fresh flavour combinations and lots of choices.
Can I give it 10 stars?? Perfect coffee, incredible waffles, amazing service, lovely cakes. Seriously, this place is a hidden gem. Oh did I mention it's dog friendly. Everything is fresh and homemade and very affordable. I 100% recommend.
